What you'll be doing:

 

Your goal in this position is to help us achieve this growth by building our salescapacity, and by meeting and exceeding your objectives.

Your goal in this position is to prospect, assess client needs and securing employeebenefits sales within the Province of Ontario with specific growth and retentiontargets. You will promote HMA’s various exclusive group insurance products as wellas other products (life/living benefits, Group RSP/Pension etc.) depending on theclients’ needs. In addition, you will be responsible to consult with and service theneeds of our existing clients.

 

On a practical level you will be responsible for:

 

• Assessing client needs and recommending employee benefits, life and livingbenefits, and assisting clients in planning and implementation of productsolutions

 

• Interacting with and educating potential and existing clients in the products thatbest suit their needs

 

• Researching and sourcing various products and carriers to find the mostsuitable products for client needs

 

• Sourcing and prospecting potential customers and creating interest in our firmand our products

 

• Securing sales of the above noted products by prospecting, settingappointments, identifying client pain and budget, proposing solutions,obtaining commitment and completing applications with payment

 

• Cross-sell and promote additional HMA products (e.g. life/living benefits,pension, GRSP etc.)

 

• Attending bi-weekly Sales Meeting and all other company and team meetingsas identified

 

• Reporting your prospecting progress to your Sales Manager weekly or biweekly

 

• Satisfying continuing education requirements annually for industry licensing

 

• Embracing and utilizing CRM (Hubspot) or any other computer-based program(TAM, Excel, etc.) to record activities, ensuring contact details are accurate, newinformation is added and accurate call/visit logs are entered

 

• If a Chamber of Commerce Block is assigned, attend the various Chambers ofCommerce functions within the assigned territory and become the ‘known’benefits advisor within those organizations

This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our bright and cheerful Whitbyoffice. You will spend most of your time out in the community, talking to potentialand existing clients, but will always have a supportive base to return to. • Life/A&S license required

 

• Minimum of 1 year in licensed sales role with proven results
